How To Change Your MySQL Root Password Via Plesk?

In Plesk, the default MySQL user is renamed admin and has access to only localhost.

On Plesk for Linux, the administrator’s password is encrypted and kept in the file /etc/psa/.psa.shadow; whereas, the Windows Registry stores the password. Plesk for Windows includes two distinct MySQL instances, each with its administrator user. Dive below through the steps to know more.

 

1.Login to Plesk.

2. Click on Databases.

3. Click on Subscription.

4. Click on User Management.

5. Select User which you want to change the password :

6. Now Change the Password:

7.Click Ok and Save.
