How To Configure File Permission In File Manager Via cPanel ?

In cPanel’s File Manager, the default permissions are assigned when files and folders are created. cPanel’s default directory and file permissions are 755 and 644, respectively. The files and directories in cPanel may have improper rights if an update/installation fails or if files/folders become damaged. However, most users will never need to adjust permissions. This describes how to correct erroneous permissions.

1. Login to cPanel.
