How To Enable SSH/ SHELL Access In cPanel(WHM) On VPS?

Secure Shell (SSH) is used to remotely access a Linux Server. SSH can be used to execute commands, file transferring, etc. on a Linux Server. Shell Access might be disabled for the cPanel User Accounts but it can be enabled through the WHM.

Go through the below mentioned steps to enable Shell Access (SSH) for the cPanel on VPS :

 

STEPS:-

1. Login to cPanel(WHM)

whm login

2. Click on the drop down arrow of “ACCOUNT INFORMATION” section and click on “LIST ACCOUNTS.”

3. In the “LIST ACCOUNT” section, click on the “+” icon to expand the account, then go to “MODIFY ACCOUNT.”

4. In modifying accounts section, find the “PRIVILEGES” section and enable “SHELL ACCESS.”
