Steps To Check Site At Local End In Linux

 

In computer networking, an IP address is a numerical identifier assigned permanently or temporarily to every device connected to a network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. Its two major functions are to identify a network or host on a network and also serve for location addressing. To check the site @ local end, Kindly follow the following steps given below.

 

Step 1: Open Console on the linux system

Step 2: Type vim/etc/hosts on the console opened on Linux system

Step 3: Enter IP and domain and save it as SC+:wq

Step 4: To check the entry, execute the following command followed by domain name

(ping -c 4 Domain name)

Step 5: Open browser and enter domain in URL
